How to Make Smoothies

I just received a Hamilton Beach blender in the mail and wanted to try it out by making some personal-sized smoothies. David and I have smoothies all the time, but after I went to this editor’s showcase last week, I’ve been changing it up. Here’s my video explaining who to make an awesome fruit smoothie:

My list of ingredients for a vitamin packed smoothie:

Berry blend from Trader Joe’s – high in antioxidants and really great in any smoothie
Frozen papayas from Trader Joe’s – promotes digestion, adds creaminess to the smoothie, has a lot of potassium, and is high in vitamin C
Pomegranate Kefir from Whole Foods (I purchased this bottle but have received samples in the past) – my brother calls it’s Kefierce (with hand motions as well) because we love Kefir so much. It comes in really great flavors and we like to keep it stocked in our fridge
Omega Shakers’ Strawberry Banana Flax Seed Oil emulsion (this was given to me at a trade show, but can be purchased at Sam’s Club) – flax seed oil is great for digestion, also has a lot of omega 3’s, and this is a really tasty alternative to taking flax seed oil pills (for some reason, I just can’t swallow them!)

You can also add water to make this smoothie a little more watery – I love it because it’s really thick and has just the right amount of sweetness. What do you add to your smoothies?

*I received a VIP coupon, prize pack, information, and giveaway from Yoplait through MyBlogSpark, which included the Hamilton Beach blender. However, I haven’t reviewed the Yoplait smoothie packs because I just can’t find them in NYC! Any help?
