Last week, I had to serve on jury duty (criminal court) and had a super long lunch break in Chinatown. After having a big bowl of wonton noodle soup at Big Wong, I stopped by Mulberry Street for some fruit. Look at the apple I picked up:

Have you ever seen an apple so large? The Fuji apples on Mulberry Street are freakishly large compared to the organic ones Dorren brings for me everyday:

For once in my life, I wasn’t able to finish it on my own and had to have Dorren help me out. The apples were crisp and flavorful and were only $1 each! Also, the avocados were 2 for $1 and they were the best avocados I’ve had this year – perfectly ripe, creamy, and really flavorful. They’re so cheap that I ended up buying 6 (that was all I could fit in my backpack) and David and I already finished them!
