On Friday morning before we met up with all of the other girls to head back to Napa for the weekend, John, Angie and I walked from our hotel to the Ferry Building to get our morning coffee. Afterwards, we weren’t that hungry and decided to go on a walk to Tartine Bakery (and we’d get a cab when we got tired). Funnily enough, we didn’t get tired at all and managed to walk the entire three miles from The Ferry Building to Tartine Bakery. It was worth the walk because we definitely ordered one of everything they had.

The lines are kind of long but it moves very quickly – while we were waiting to place our order, I snapped some photos of their beautiful cakes, tarts and croissants:

If I lived in San Francisco, I would definitely buy all of my cakes there:

Lemon cream tarts!:

Look at the huge pile fresh raspberries on the tart:

Delicious morning buns and tea cakes:

Savory options:

Our haul:

Hazelnut tart that had chocolate ganache and was so good that we wanted to go back and buy another:

Fresh lemon tart:

A banana tart that had such a great flaky crust (that wasn’t too sweet, either!):

The best chocolate croissant that had two lines of chocolate, one more than usual!:

Our only disappointment of the day, the morning bun (although I think if we ate it there, it would’ve been better):

And a ham and cheese croissant:

Worth a trip to pick up pastries, cakes, savories, ANYTHING. They have great desserts and their coffee is great, too!!
