Sickchangeup - I didn't end up going to Pierre Gagnaire :( I had food poisoning after Le Cinq and ended up lying in bed for the majority of the time I spent in Paris. Le Cinq's review will be up soon (sorry I'm so behind on posts!!)

I spend a lot of time in Paris, Grace. Here are some restaurant recommendations for you (if you have time!)

Le Comptoir du Relais- SW french bistro €30 pp. they don't accept reservations for lunch or dinner on weekends so you can go and wait for a table. go after 2:30 when the main lunch crowd leaves. This is my favorite place in Paris given the price and quality.

Atelier de Joel Robuchon- luxury French bistro- good to eat here really late since that's when you can get a table or for a late lunch after 2:30. €60 pp. difficult to reserve so if you pass by in the early evening you can put your name on the list for later that night and you will always get in that way. Best miniature lamb chops I've ever had.

L'Assiette- great home style French cooking. Mitterand's favorite place. Set daily menu based on the freshest food she buys at the markets that day. €50 pp inc wine.

L'Ambroise- high end 3 michelin star in the place de vosges. this is the best of the 3 star restaurants in my opnion.

404- fun Moroccan restaurant. Good with a group, fun music. Have the cocktail 404- one of the original vodka mohitos.

L'Ami Louis- great luxurious bistro with high prices but huge portions and excellent service. You won't be disappointed but not a deal.

Bon appetit!
